Purpose: To be a minister of justice
Mission: To speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves; to stand up for what is right; and to judge all people fairly—so help me God [Proverbs 31:8-9]
Areas of Interest: Law, Education, & Entertainment (Storytelling)
My name is Jenny. I am a 5' 1" Asian-American female. The Pen is my sword. War & Truth, my power and protection. For freedom, justice, and dignity for all.
simply, LADY JUSTICE
Born and raised in Los Angeles (LA), I am committed to administering justice in California (CA); specifically, in LA or Orange County. To this end, I am studying for the juris doctorate degree and CA Bar Exam to become a civil litigator and appellate advocate.
Currently, I am serving as Legal Intern under the Correctional Law section of the Civil Law Division in the Office of the Attorney General (AG) at the California Department of Justice (CA DOJ). For Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, I will continue to serve as Legal Intern in the Office of the AG at the CA DOJ but under the Health Quality Enforcement section.
Additionally, I am a storyteller. My specialty is to write true stories, or stories inspired by true events. I am humbled to have had the privilege to witness all walks of life.
Previously, I worked in Hollywood, where storytelling meets filmmaking, as a quality assurance and data analyst at CBS Interactive, a part of CBS Corporation (now, ViacomCBS). To elaborate, I was an analyst at the intersection of entertainment and technology, and also, a whistleblower and target of political elimination. Prior to Hollywood, I worked in education in public and a quasi-public (charter) school network (at which I was also a whistleblower, and as it turned out, the top officials were indicted and prosecuted for siphoning public tax money—true story).
For my education, I studied for the D.Phil. as a Clarendon Scholar at Oxford University in England with an interest in the political sociology and economics of higher education. Prior to that, I earned two master's degrees; one from Oxford University and the other from University of Southern California. For my undergraduate studies, I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was nominated (and selected) for Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi, among others.
In my spare time, I read the Wall Street Journal, take full advantage of my spa membership at Burke Williams Spa, pop and drink champagne or wine, drink tea, shop online, dine out, meditate, and sleep.
Every year, I travel to a different country and so far, I have visited 30+ countries throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Previously, I lived in England, Sweden, Taiwan, and South Korea. My favorite place on Earth is lazing in an isolated bungalow in the Maldives, removed from the madness that is Vanity Affairs.
Currently, I live in Santa Monica, CA with my dog (a Schnoodle-Maltipoo rescue), named Oscar.
