Daily, both day and night, I read the Holy Bible (either the Old or New Testament or both).
On more rare occasions, if I have time, I read non-fiction books that have to do with spiritual growth, self-help, and some philosophy and medicine. The more interdisciplinary the content of a book, the better I find it to read. Several of my favorite books are written by David Hawkins, Eckhart Tolle, M. Scott Peck, and less often, Deepak Chopra, or of the like.
For news, I read the Wall Street Journal, and sometimes, the New York or Los Angeles Times; or, I watch Fox News and CNN (frequently toggling between both channels) but I am neither right or left with respect to my worldview. I prefer to be fairly balanced, or moderate, and avoid extreme views.
I read and stay up-to-date with current events to become better at balancing the scale.
